The Administrative Simplification Compliance Act (ASCA) amended the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and requires that all claims submitted to Medicare on October 16, 2003 and beyond be done so electronically except for certain circumstances.  For additional information on the ASCA Regulation, please go to the Downloads section below.
